Diamond Sport 18u Premier is looking to add players for the 2019-2020 season. DS Premier plays one of the most competitive summer schedules around. This includes playing in the exclusive Seattle Premier League, various tournaments, and their annual series against Summer Collegiate team the Highline Bears.

DS Premier’s coaches include Head Coach Alexander Lee and Drew Staples. Lee has playing experience at the Division 1 level playing Radford University. Upon graduating from Radford, Lee went on to be drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2014 draft. After two years of playing in their system, Lee returned back home, helping Kentwood High School make back to back final four appearances and has been coaching the Premier team the last 3 seasons. Staples is going into his 5th season at Diamond Sports, 2nd with DS Premier, where he has been an incredible help with our pitchers. Staples was left handed pitcher and a 2013 graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

During the off season we will participate in the Diamond Sports senior program and take advantage of great instructors, technology, and competitive environment. Players will get position specific training on defense to further enhance their skill set while embracing the #doublesandbombs offensive philosophy with Alexander Lee. Pitchers will work with a pitching coach and have access to weighted balls, bands, and develop their mechanics.

The team will be managed by Jordyn Perry who is entering his 9th year at Diamond Sports and 6th consecutive at the 18u level. He has coached high school baseball at Garfield, Lindbergh, and Auburn Mountainview over the past 6 seasons.

This team is seeking qualified juniors and seniors seeking entry into college baseball.  Our focus is always on the educational process as it relates to the game. Physical skill sets are constantly being evaluated and improved upon. The 18 U Gator program prides itself on using the training program and regular summer season as preparation for our final summer tournament. Our emphasis sacrifices regular season wins for the overall preparation of each player. Every facet of the game is developed so as to gain a clear image of the game played correctly.
